The girls are well and truly fighting with Nicki Minaj and SZA hurling barbs at each other, and no, we don’t mean the Starships rapper’s fans.
A strange war of words between the US stars has erupted with Nicki, 42, branding the former Glastonbury headliner a ‘dead dog’ in one dig.
Nicki is no stranger to confronting those she has a problem with — who could forget ‘Miley, what’s good?’ — but this new beef appears to have come out of nowhere.
Publicly, the pair have seemingly never crossed paths other than at a handful of industry events but they aired their grievances loud and clear on X.
SZA, 35, drew Nicki’s wrath after the Anaconda icon took to social media to vent about Top Dawg Entertainment president, Terrence ‘Punch’ Henderson.
The label boss happens to also be the Kill Bill rapper’s manager, prompting her to not so subtly post some shade.

What kicked off the feud?
‘So glad I have proof of being bullied by AND being lied on by a man PUBLICLY,’ Nicki kicked things off by writing on X.
She continued: ‘On a platform I use for my JOB; after I rejected his business proposition on more than one occasion.’
SZA, in the ancient tradition of shady subtweeting, posted: ‘Mercury retrograde.. don’t take the bait lol silly goose.’
While she didn’t say anything more, Nicki took this to be a dig at her post and told her, ‘Go draw your freckles back on bookie.’
However, Nicki wasn’t done there as she launched a tirade against SZA’s music and appearance in a stack of posts. Which the Snooze hitmaker volleyed right back.
What has Nicki Minaj said?
Nicki isn’t one to mince her words and the Super Bass star went for the jugular with her insults of SZA.
‘B***h looking & sounding like she got stung by a f**king bee. Dot dot dot *Draws on my fake freckles.*’ she wrote.

After another dig about SZA’s freckles, Nicki said: ‘Liar, liar pants on fire.
Sounding like a fkng dead dog.’
The onslaught continued with an attack on her 2022 album SOS, which saw SZA break Michael Jackson’s record for the longest a Black artist has spent on the Billboard 200’s Top 10 chart — over 80 weeks.
‘B***h put out a whole new album as a deluxe to an already existing album that was out for like a year or 2 so the original album could break records,’ she said.
‘Like what in the insecure lack of morals & integrity you doing? I thought she was like a real artist? Girl bye.’
In another post she added: ‘Wait. Does Sza think she’s more successful than me? Lol yall catch me up pls.

‘Sza if every song you’ve ever done vanished right now the music business wouldn’t even miss you. I’ve been to countries that never heard of you. I know you’re not THAT stupid are you?’
She took a swipe at SZA’s joint tour with Kendrick Lamar, emphasising she had headlined her ‘own’ tour in previous years.
Over the course of three hours, Nicki fired off over 20 posts aimed at SZA, as well as continuing her rant on a livestream on her Stationhead account.
She signed off on X with: ‘Thx for hanging with us on SH, you guys. It was fun. 🙏🏽🩷🎀.’
What has SZA said?
After her initial dig, SZA kept comparatively quiet as Nicki spewed post after post aimed at her — but that doesn’t mean she was silent.
Replying to the first tweet, she wrote: ‘I don’t give a f**k bout none of that weird s**t you popping.’

The All The Stars hitmaker then picked fights with Nicki fans, called Barbs, who were joining in on the brutal attack.
‘U AINT HEARD THE ALBUM THAT WENT NUMBER ONE 13 WEEKS?’ SZA questioned. ‘That shoulda let you know. IM OUT MY F**KING MIND [sic].’
Not done there, SZA hit out at ‘State of Minaj’ stan account for an unacceptable, racially charged tweet which later had visibility restricted for ‘hateful conduct’.
Defending her first post, she added: ‘I wasn’t even talking about or to anyone I had just got off stage talkin bout retrograde.’

The Saturn singer admitted she was mad ‘now’, after the numerous Nicki fans flooded her social media, along with the rapper herself.
‘I get bullied by millions online every day then step my ass out onna packed stadium tour where ppl show me REAL love . IN REAL LIFE ,’ she said in a final post.
‘My parents are healthy and I’m the most successful I ever been. GET SOME F**KING PERSPECTIVE n BARK AT THE WALL !!!’
