Progress is progress as Noah Centineo took to Instagram with a shirtless selfie to give fans a glimpse of his transformation for the upcoming Street Fighter movie.

The 29-year-old actor is reportedly set to star as the character Ken Masters in StreetFighter, directed by Kitao Sakurai. Based on the video game franchise, Centineo’s character is a martial arts expert trained in Ansatsuken. He’s also known for his blonde hair and is often depicted with a muscular, athletic build.

Based on Centineo’s selfie posted on Monday, August 25, the actor is hard at work bringing Ken to life, flexing his biceps and showing off his six-pack abs. The selfie seems to have been taken in a trailer on set for the movie in Sydney, Australia. That’s not all, as Centineo is sporting what appears to be dyed blond hair under the black headband. Centineo is going all out to portray his Street Fighter character.

He also captioned the photo with “Road brawler,” a nod to the project’s title. Fans were left impressed and surprised by the actor’s new look.

“NOW HANG ON-,” commented actress Rachel Zegler.

Fans can expect a star-studded cast alongside the Centineo, with Andrew Koji in the role of Ryu, Jason Momoa as Blanka, and WWE superstar Roman Reigns as Akuma. The cast also includes Orville Peck as Vega, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Cody Rhodes as Guile, Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, and Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim.

The upcoming live-action movie will be the second adaptation since the 1994 classic starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Raúl Juliá, Kylie Minogue, and Ming-Na Wen. Centineo is taking over the role of Ken from actor Damian Chapa who played the character in the original movie.

Street Fighter began filming in August, with the original release date having been slated for March 20, 2026. A new release date hasn’t been announced.

Centineo will also reportedly set to lead the upcoming prequel Rambo movie as a younger version of Sylvester Stallone’s character.
