The guns have fallen silent, and the wait is officially over—Oasis is back.
Once-feuding brothers Noel, 58, Liam Gallagher, 52, last performed together in 2009, and no one has been in any doubt about the frosty relationship between them since the band split.
But now, after 16 years of both private rows and public mudslinging—and for the sake of taking home a reported £50million each—the siblings have called a truce.
Tonight, they walked out to a roaring, sold-out crowd at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, to kick off their hotly anticipated reunion tour, which was announced last August.
Bang on 8:15pm, Noel and Liam launched into their tune Hello, which seems a rather apt opener.
After this, they went into Acquiesce, which originally appeared as the B-side to Oasis’ first number-one single, Some Might Say, in 1995.

It was also the opener that many predicted when set lists seemingly leaked just days ago ahead of the gig to 74,500 adoring fans.
The brothers swaggered out on stage in their usual attire—Liam in his coat and Noel in a denim shirt—following a video displaying numerous headlines about their feud and subsequent reconciliation.
‘This is not a drill,’ also appeared on the screen in giant letters, with the crowd—decked out in bucket hats, shades, and Oasis merch—sending cups flying by jumping in the air once the Britpop band appeared.
Before their third song, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? Liam said on the mic: ‘Hello, people, it’s been too long.’
‘It’s good to be back, good to be back,’ he added, then shouting: ‘Yes, beautiful people!’
Noel and Liam appear to want to keep their distance for much of the night, which follows rumours that they barely rehearsed together in the lead-up to the inaugural show.

However, at one point in an undeniably historic moment, Liam grabbed his older brother’s arm and raised it high in the air, basking in the applause and screams from the packed stadium.
Present tonight were plenty of famous faces, all keen to say they were part of music history.
Long-time Oasis fan Louis Tomlinson was in the building, joined by Danny Dyer, Vicky McClure, and Vernon Kay, plus the band members’ own children.
Tonight, Noel and Liam were joined on stage by Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell, and Joey Waronker.
Doors opened at 5pm before support acts Cast and Richard Ashcroft performed at 6pm and 7pm, respectively.
From here, Oasis will travel the UK and Ireland with 18 more shows this year before heading across Europe, with tickets sold to 900,000 fans.
