President Donald Trump’s belligerent speech in recent weeks has the purpose of maintaining the Trumpist “climate” of continental and planetary domination. What’s happening is that all of Trump’s aggressive plans are on ice until the federal budget for the next fiscal year is approved.

For example, some sources of intelligence analysts point out that the decision and plan to invade Venezuela to overthrow President Nicolás Maduro are already palomeadosbut that require budgetary resources that they do not have, to the extent that they have taken advantage of the budget delay to sell the idea that there is no money and in that context accept “donations” from businessmen of the military-industrial complex to pay back salaries to the soldiers.

In the short-term outlook of the White House there are some indications that indicate the possibility that the federal budget will be approved at the end of October and that the prepared operations that were waiting for financing will begin next week.

It is not very clear what national security model the White House will implement to overthrow Maduro and seek his arrest so that he can be tried in the United States for drug trafficking, but some analysts are dusting off what happened with Saddam Hussein in Iraq: the US invaded the country, Hussein slipped away and hid and was later found in a cave, tried by steam and sentenced to hanging.

The key to Iraq and now Venezuela is quite complex: once Maduro is invaded and arrested or made to flee, then there would have to be an American-Venezuelan committee to dismantle the Chávez-Maduro institutions and laws, create new institutions and reactivate the political class repressed in the last 25 years, although all of them summarize Americanism and have lost political sensitivity.

But all that has to wait until the budget is approved and there is money for the invasion.

Zero Zone

  • The umpteenth statement by President Trump saying that in Mexico the cartels It does not change at all what he has been saying in the campaign and as president, and what he has not done to make those things change, but it is serving a little to send a message that it is not known if it has already been understood by Mexico: the trade agreement does not matter, returning to the pre-treated tariffs is an instrument of geopolitical pressure and the White House wants permission from the National Palace to bring in troops to destroy the cartels “and they disappear from the face of the earth” regardless of laws or judicial processes.
