In a matter of hours, Oasis will officially return for their first gig in 16 years – but fans need to be careful.
The first reunion gig on the Oasis Live ’25 tour gets underway this evening as Liam and Noel Gallagher play their first show together since 2009, and it’s no surprise that people are still on the lookout for last minute tickets.
Not surprisingly, shows for the UK and Ireland run – which includes dates in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin – sold out almost instantly lat summer.
Even today, fans are still being offered ‘last-minute ticket deals’, but if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
On Friday’s episode of Lorraine, host Ranvir Singh warned fans about ‘last-minute ticket deals that are not deals, they’re just scams’.
Financial journalist Claer Barrett said: ‘The message to get across is that social media and ticket sales are not a good look.
‘There’s lots of scams going on, the banks are all warning people to be wary of bot accounts on social media that don’t have many followers but are following lots of people and offering tickets.’

Instead, she encouraged fans to ‘stick to the official resale site’ and ‘be very careful’.
As well as social media scams, there is also the issue of resale sites like Viagogo, which at one point was listing tickets for up to £1,263 for tonight’s show, according to The I Paper.
Indeed, tickets bought on some sites – like Viagogo, Stubhub and others – can be voided under original purchase conditions, and might not be valid.

Instead of online touts, which can come at an inflated cost or even be for a ticket that the seller doesn’t even have yet, fans have been directed to Twickets – the official resale platform for the UK and Ireland tour.
On the site, tickets can only be sold for face value (plus an admin fee), which makes it a fairer, safer and more affordable option.
There is high demand with fans advised to keep refreshing the oasis resale page rather than rely on the now-disabled ‘alert’ function for the tour.

Explaining how Twickets works, a spokesperson told the Mirror: ‘Twickets is an ethical ticket resale marketplace, enabling users to sell spare tickets at the price they paid, or less.
‘We have partnered with Oasis as their official ticket resale platform to protect fans from being ripped off by profiteering resale sites that encourage ticket touting.
‘Sellers sell for free, and buyers pay a standard booking fee of 10-15% of the sold for ticket price. Buyers can purchase with all major debit / credit cards as well as PayPal.’
