MEXICO CITY.- On the afternoon of Thursday, October 23, a baby was stolen from Durango Maternal and Child Hospitalgenerating an immediate mobilization of authorities and a wave of indignation among the population.
The minor, identified as Judith Alejandra Rivas Ruizis barely a month old and was hospitalized for liver complications derived from his premature birth.
The Durango prosecutor’s office issued an Amber Alert for the disappearance of the baby born only on September 20. According to the data, the baby measures 55 centimeters, and the characteristics mentioned in the alert: abundant black hair, semi-bush eyebrows, slanted brown eyes, and light brown complexion.
The prosecution also issued a search sheet with the characteristics of the person who allegedly stole the baby.
He describes her as a woman between 35 and 45 years old, approximately 1.58 centimeters tall, light brown complexion, oval face, outlined eyebrow, large mouth and thick lips. As particular signs: acne on the cheeks, stained, crooked front teeth.
In a video circulating on social networks, the woman, dressed in a Filipina (medical uniform), is seen leaving the hospital with the baby in her arms.
