Every company that makes athletic shoes has its own synthetic midsole material. Adidas calls theirs Lightstrike and says it provides “super-light cushioning plus energy return” without the carbon fiber plates you’ll find in (much) more expensive runners. That means they’re a solid choice for non-marathoners and people who plan to wear these shoes for style more than performance.
And speaking of style, Lightblaze shoes have the exact chaotic energy of so-called Y2K sneakers like the Saucony Ride Millennium and New Balance 1906R that are en vogue at the moment.
