Why We Love This Deal

Whether you’ve run your way through the heat and humidity of summer (and have the worn-out shoes to prove it) or you’re looking to start pounding the pavement in more comfortable temperatures, it’s a nice time to buy a new pair of casual running shoes for everyday comfort. What makes it even nicer is the $30 price cut on a superlight, super cushioned pair from Adidas.

Adidas Lightblaze Shoes are just $70 at Adidas right now, a 30% discount from their normal $100 price tag. They’re on sale in seven of nine available colorways, and these shoes have earned more than 230 five-star ratings from folks who call them “lightweight and comfortable” and, critically, “easy to style.”

 What Buyers Should Know

  • Upper: Mesh, suede, and nubuck leather
  • Midsole: Lightstrike foam cushioning
  • Outsole: Rubber

Every company that makes athletic shoes has its own synthetic midsole material. Adidas calls theirs Lightstrike and says it provides “super-light cushioning plus energy return” without the carbon fiber plates you’ll find in (much) more expensive runners. That means they’re a solid choice for non-marathoners and people who plan to wear these shoes for style more than performance.

And speaking of style, Lightblaze shoes have the exact chaotic energy of so-called Y2K sneakers like the Saucony Ride Millennium and New Balance 1906R that are en vogue at the moment.

What Shoppers Are Saying

Old folks need comfortable shoes. Runners need comfortable shoes. So when a runner in their 60s with “always sore feet” writes that “These sneakers are so comfortable,” “give perfect support, and are very breathable,” you should listen.

On the aesthetic side of things, an almost certainly younger reviewer wrote that these shoes are “pretty easy to style” because “the chunky dad shoe look is still in and these hit the mark.” And while it might not contribute to the look of these shoes, they also liked that “the Lightstrike midsole is responsive and has a firm marshmallow feel to it,” along with being impressively light.

If you need a sneaker for longer walks and/or shorter runs, or just looking fresh, Adidas Lightblaze Shoes are a great choice. They combine an in-demand aesthetic with real comfort, and the chance to save $30 makes them even more appealing. This sale ends on Sept. 4, though, so we’d recommend shopping ASAP to make sure time and inventory don’t run out.
