According to the police report, the driver, identified by authorities as Mark McCarty, was traveling east on White Oak Road and drifted off the north shoulder just before the driveway of a residential property, and as McCarty attempted back on the roadway, he turned too sharply to the left causing the vehicle to start across both lanes towards the south shoulder.
