After a couple of hours completely paralyzed, the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) reported the resumption of its operations. This after this Thursday morning, the presence of a strong fog bank was recorded in the area.

“As of 8:14 a.m., takeoff and landing operations were normalized.after the presence of fog in the airport area. We maintain coordination with the airlines so that all operations are carried out safely,” the AICM published on its X account.

Let us remember that due to a cold wave in the capital, The runways of the capital airport were completely covered. Preventing visibility for takeoff and landing of aircraft, as well as for runway agents in the terminals.
This event caused significant delays and affected several passengers who were waiting to reach the capital or travel to their destinations. Authorities waited until the fog dissipated completely to to be able to resume their work with scheduled flights.
