The festival only ran for one day[/caption]

The festival, which is held in Manchester, Tennessee, was called off on Friday 13, with many commenting on how the supposedly unlucky date brought them a spot of bad luck.

Canceled for the weekend, the festival only got one full day in action on Thursday, June 12.

The festival kicked off on Thursday with the likes of Luke Combs and Dom Dolla taking to the stage.

As per reports, the main area of the festival, which is called Centeroo, was evacuated at 1:30 CT in the afternoon.

The festival released a statement on their app on Friday, revealing the remaining days had been called off.

The statement on the app read: “We are beyond gutted, but we must make the safest decision and cancel the remainder of Bonnaroo.”

Then, on Instagram, they issued further details.

They said: “Today, the National Weather Service provided us with an updated forecast with significant and steady precipitation that will produce deteriorating camping and egress conditions in the coming days.”

They continued: “We are going to make things right with you, and you will find refund information at the end of this message, but let’s start with the next steps.

“The number one thing we need from the Bonnaroo community is patience.

“Some of your fellow campers’ sites are in rough shape.

“The rain has settled in areas and made certain parts of Outeroo difficult to manage.”

They added: “We’d like to prioritize getting those folks as well as those with accessibility needs off The Farm as soon as possible this evening.

“To do this, we ask that if your campsite is in good shape or if you’re in an RV or pre-pitched accommodation, please consider spending the night with us and we’ll start working to get you out of here safely tomorrow.”

The statement concluded: “We will continue to operate as usual in Outeroo including food vendors and all health and safety infrastructure.

“We have put our hearts and souls into making this weekend the most special one of the year, and cannot express how crushed we are to have to make this decision.

“Thank you in advance for your patience, your positivity and your unfailing Bonnaroovian spirit.”

The festival also detailed what would be refunded for fans.

“All 1-Day Friday, Saturday and Sunday Admission Tickets purchased via Front Gate Tickets and 1-Day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Day Parting purchased via Front Gate Tickets will be refunded.

“All 4-Day Admission Tickets purchased via Front Gate will receive a 75% refund.

“All 4-Day camping accommodations purchased via Front Gate Tickets will receive a 75% refund.

“All refunds will be process in as little as 30 days, to the original method of payment.”

Reacting to the announcement on social media, fans were fuming.

“BRO WE SPENT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO BE HERE,” said one person.

Another added: “Literally spent THOUSANDS of dollars flying from Hawaii……. first roo and most likely my last.”

While a third penned: “*Not a single drop of rain was dropped after this was posted* lol.”

Luke Littler sent fierce warning over controversial comments by German opponents ahead of World Cup of Darts

LUKE LITTLER and Luke Humhpries have been sent a fierce warning ahead of their World Cup of Darts clash against Germany.

The England pair face Ricardo Pietreczko and Martin Schindler in the round of 16 in Frankfurt tonight.

Away from the oche, Luke Humphries and Littler are set to be awarded for this exploits in darts, with an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the King’s Birthday Honours list

Littler had previously gotten into a spat with Pietreczko and controversially slated Germany because of crowd problems.

He posted on Instagram: “Shouldn’t have been in Munich but had to play anyway.

“Next one in Germany for me is Dortmund and I am glad to say that.”

Pietreczko – nicknamed ‘Pikachu’ – said: “I think it was a very funny game against both Lukes, because Luke Littler says never come back to Germany.”

Schindler added: “I think the fans are going to play a major role in that.

“If we are going to play against bigger nations, England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland or Netherlands or whoever, there are so many good names in it right now.

“I think this probably is the best World Cup to be in and we are very happy about the support we are getting from the fans.”

Littler clashed with ‘Pikachu’ in March when the German confronted him after being beaten.

Pietreczko explained: “Well, I really appreciated him being able to play a game like that at such an age, but I hope his arrogance punishes him.”

Littler claimed he had no idea what he had done wrong but acknowledged “everyone wants to beat him”.

Away from the oche, the top two players in the world, Humphries and Littler, were both awarded an MBE on Friday as part of the King’s Birthday Honours list for their contributions to sports.

The award is a glaring example of how darts’ growing appeal paralleled the pair’s rise to the top.

Humphries said: “I’m extremely honoured and delighted to be receiving an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours for services to darts.

“To be recognised by the King for what I have achieved, and also for my contribution to playing in and promoting the sport that I love, is something that I never thought possible, but I’m very grateful that it has become a reality.”

The Merseysiders will pay the 2023/24 Bundesliga champions a whopping £116.5MILION for the 22-year-old.

Liverpool have fended off the likes of Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Real Madrid to land Wirtz, who has reportedly been handed a mammoth five-year contract.

And according to Sky Sports, the German will pocket a whopping £245,000 a week during his Anfield stay.

That works out to a £12.7m a year, a fee which is nearly TWELVE TIMES what he earns at the BayArena.

A massive £10.2m of that figure is guaranteed for the attacking midfielder, who will pocket the remaining £2.5m if individual and team performance targets are met.

Wirtz’s salary will make him the THIRD HIGHEST-PAID player at Anfield ahead of Andy Robertson, Alexis Mac-Allister, Alisson, Ryan Gravenberch, Federico Chiesa, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez.

Only Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, who both inked new deals with the Prem champions last season, will earn more than him.

Egyptian Wizard Salah currently takes home a staggering £400k a week, which works out to be a jaw-dropping £20.8m.

Wirtz will be joined at Anfield by his former Leverkusen team-mate Jeremie Frimpong.

The Dutch defender became the Reds’ first signing of the summer late last month.

After the completion of his £29.5m move, the 24-year-old said: “Liverpool fans, I’m going to give my all.

“My energy, my work-rate. And hopefully, we can win together, we celebrate together, get everything together.

“I’m just excited to be here. Thank you guys for accepting me.

“And I won’t let you guys down and I’ll give you the energy that you guys want.”

Hunt for shooter ‘posing as police officer’ after US politician assassinated

Minnesota state speaker and husband killed by fake cop in 'politically motivated assassination'
Minnesota state representative Melissa Hortman (L) was shot dead and senator John Hoffman (R) was injured

A manhunt is underway after a US politician and her husband have been killed by a shooter ‘impersonating a police officer’.

Minnesota state representative Melissa Hortman and her husband were killed at their homes, governor Tim Walz confirmed.

State senator John Hoffman and his wife were also shot in their home but are expected to survive after surgeries.

The attack happened in the early hours of this morning in the suburban city of Brooklyn Park, where a shelter-in-place order is in effect.

An SUV ‘equipped to look like a police vehicle’ was found abandoned as the suspect fled the scene.

Inside, police allegedly discovered a ‘manifesto’ naming other Minnesota politicians, who have since been put under enhanced protection.

Donald Trump confirmed he has been briefed on the shooting, which Walz said appears to be a ‘politically motivated assassination’.

Walz said an ‘unspeakable tragedy has unfolded in Minnesota, adding that the state has lost a ‘great leader’ and he has lost a ‘great friend’.

During a press conference, he said: ‘We must all, in Minnesota and across the country, stand against all forms of political violence. Those responsible for this will be held accountable.’

Public Safety Commissioner Bob Jacobson said the suspect was posing as a police officer.

He said: ‘Suspect exploited the trust of our uniforms, what our uniforms are meant to represent.

‘That betrayal is deeply disturbing to those of us who wear the badge with honor and responsibility.’

Police Chief Mark Bruley said the suspect fled out of the back of Hortman’s house after an exchange of gunfire with police.

The suspect was dressed like a uniformed officer and operating a vehicle that ‘looked exactly like an SUV squad car.’

Bruley added: ‘It was equipped with lights, emergency lights and looked exactly like a police vehicle.’

Tottenham are set to complete a permanent deal to sign Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich, according to reports in Germany.

In the closing stages of the January transfer window, Spurs paid a €10 million (£8m) loan fee to sign Tel on a temporary deal from Bayern until the end of the season.

During his time under Ange Postecoglou, the 20-year-old scored three goals in 20 appearances across all competitions and helped the club win the Europa League.

Tottenham had the option to permanently sign Tel for £45.7m (€55m) this summer but according to Bild, the Premier League side have now negotiated a lower fee with Bayern.

The report claims that Spurs will now pay €35m (£29.7m) to sign Tel permanently from Bayern.

Speaking in April, Postecoglou was adamant that Tel can make a long-term impact for Spurs in the Premier League.

‘I think he’s very, very exciting,’ Postecoglou said.

‘When you meet him, you realise that he has that certain something. He has enormous confidence in what he wants to do.

‘Although he is still young, he can physically handle the Premier League.

‘He’s a goal scorer, he can hold his own, he’s got the necessary speed. He will play an important role in our end-of-season push and beyond.’
