AN influencer and extreme sports enthusiast died after “tumbling through the air” in a 60ft plunge off a British mountain
Maria Eftimova, 28, went hiking up the 3,000ft peak before slipping on rocky ground and tumbling down the mountain to her death.
WNSMaria amassed 10,000 followers, showcasing her outdoor lifestyle online[/caption]

Maria suffered fatal head injuries and, despite the best efforts of medical staff, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
The influencer, with more than 10,000 followers, was tackling the notorious Tryfan mountain in Snowdonia, North Wales, when she fell to her death.
An inquest into her death heard she was climbing the mountain’s notorious north ridge – a popular but dangerous scrambling route.
Maria was an experienced mountaineer and had completed an ice-climbing course in Norway shortly before the horror unfolded.
The inquest has heard how she posed for a “Mexican wave” with friends before she fell to her death.
Fellow climber Harry Jones said the group were going up the face one-by-one when he witnessed Maria’s tragic fall.
He added: “I could see on one particular ledge Maria stopped in order to get a handhold to pull herself up, I was six ft below her, to the left.
“She swung her right leg up to pull herself up. I asked ‘Got it well?’ and she said ‘I think so.”
He said moments later he witnessed Maria “flying over me” and down the mountainside.
The 60ft plummet left Maria with horrific injuries, including a fractured skull..
Coroner Kate Robertson returned a conclusion of accidental death and passed on her condolences to Maria’s family and friends.
Maria, of St Helens, originally from Sofia, Bulgaria, showcased her outdoor lifestyle online.
Following her tragic death a fundraiser was set up by friends to help cover repatriation costs.
Maria’s tragic death on February 22nd came less than a week after Dr Charlotte Crook, 30, also died while climbing in the same region.
An inquest heard Dr Crook plunged 30ft to her death while walking on Glyder Fach with a fellow medic.
Both women were attended to by Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation.

Speaking of Maria’s accident, the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue team said: “A group was ascending the north-ridge when one of them fell 20 metres into steep terrain.
“Passers-by with climbing equipment abseiled down and made her safe, and a team member already nearby made his way down and started CPR.
“Colleagues from Welsh Ambulance Service stood by at base while the Coastguard helicopter dropped team members onto the mountain.
“Unfortunately, the casualty had not survived her injuries, and she was brought down to Oggie base.
“The thoughts of all involved are with the casualties families and friends, thank you to all the members of the public who tried to help.”
Neil Oakes, who was on a slightly different route up the mountain at the time Maria fell, told of his horror at witnessing the tragedy unfold.
He said: “I turned and saw Ms Eftimova tumbling through the air below me. She was already in freefall.
“I knew there was going to be an impact on the rocky outcrop below so I turned away for a split second. I was shouting ‘No, no, no, no.’
“When I turned back she was on the ledge below. I knew that it was serious.
The Ukraine international started just five Premier League games for Mikel Arteta’s side this season and his campaign has once again been disrupted by a calf injury.
With the rapid rise of Myles Lewis-Skelly in the first team, Arsenal are open to selling Zinchenko this summer.
According to Sky Italy, AC Milan have already made an approach for Zinchenko as they are in the market to replace Theo Hernandez, who has turned down a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal and is in talks to join Atletico Madrid.
AC Milan have yet to reach an agreement over a fee with Arsenal, while Zinchenko’s £150,000-a-week salary is also an issue for the Italian side, who finished eighth in Serie A this season.

Zinchenko has made 91 appearances for Arsenal following his £32 million move from Manchester City three years ago.
CNN Portugal and Portuguese newspaper Record reported on Wednesday evening that Arsenal’s hierarchy met with Gyokeres’ representative, Hasan Cetinkaya, on Wednesday and an official offer from the Gunners is now expected.
CNN Portugal reporter Nuno Farinha said: ‘Arsenal are the club that Gyokeres has wanted from the very beginning.
‘Gyokeres wants to play for Arsenal, he has stated this desire very openly to his agent.
‘Officially, there has not been an offer yet, but there have been many contacts. This time, it seems that there will be [an offer].’

ReutersUS Secretary of State Marco Rubio slammed the PM’s sanctions on two Israeli ministers[/caption]
In a scathing attack on the move, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the sanctions “do not advance American efforts to achieve a ceasefire, bring all hostages home and end the war”.
Mr Rubio warned Britain “not to forget who the real enemy is”.
The US ambassador to the UK said he “fully supported” Mr Rubio’s slap down and warned the PM against “impeding constructive dialogue”.
Ben-Gvir, who is pushing to annex the West Bank and wants to permanently expel Palestinians from Gaza, said: “The American administration is a moral compass in the face of the confusion of some Western countries that choose to appease terrorist organizations like Hamas.
“Israel is not afraid — we will continue to fight terrorism.
“History will judge the Chamberlains of our time.”
At PMQs Sir Keir defended the sanctions as a bid to “uphold human rights and defend the prospect of a two-state solution”.
The PM said: “Acting alongside our allies, we have sanctioned individuals responsible for inciting appalling settler violence and expansion.
“We will continue to support all efforts to secure a ceasefire, the release of all hostages despicably held by Hamas and the humanitarian aid that needs to surge in.

I’M a big fan of small and simple cars because I like value for money more than I do screens and gadgets.
This BYD Dolphin Surf is small and simpleThe Dolphin Surf has four seats, three with ISOFIX anchor points and a surprisingly practical boot
Just press and go.
It’s value for money at £18,650.
And yet it’s got a rotating touchscreen and all those gadgets thrown in anyway.
Where’s the catch?
I can’t see one.
It knocks a Dacia Spring and Leapmotor T03 out of the park because it’s a proper car for not much more and it’s comfortably less than the already brilliant-value Renault 5.
Finance from £269 a month with £269 deposit. Or £199 a month with about £3k deposit.
It’ll cost pennies to run.
I reckon many will be bought as second cars but end up being the one owners use the most.
Dolphin Surf has four seats, three with ISOFIX anchor points for the kiddlywinks, and a surprisingly practical boot that’ll swallow the Friday big shop.
Properly comfy seats by the way. Made of “vegan leather” whatever that means.

MILLIONS of Vodafone and Three customers are set for a huge boost to their mobile signal as the newly-merged mega network reveals its £11billion grand plans.
A major improvement to services will start for more than seven million users of Three and its budget sub-brand SMARTY in just two weeks time.
AlamyThe £16.5billion tie-up makes VodafoneThree the UK’s biggest mobile network[/caption]
PABoth brands will continue to co-exist – but there are some changes coming[/caption]
Customers will receive a 20 per cent average speed uplift on 4G.
And within a few months, 27million mobile subscribers across both Vodafone and Three will benefit from better signal with shared access across both networks at no extra cost, the new joint VodafoneThree firm claims.
This will eradicate dreaded “not spots” from 16,500 sq/km of the country – the equivalent to 10x the size of London.
VodafoneThree has confirmed that its various brands will remain separate.
This not only includes Vodafone and Three, but also VOXI, SMARTY and Talkmobile which piggyback on their network kit.
However, Vodafone will be the only brand for business customers.
“A new era of connectivity has begun,” said Max Taylor, CEO of VodafoneThree.
“We will connect every nation, every community, in every corner of the UK.
“We will build the UK’s best 5G network with an unprecedented £11bn privately funded infrastructure project, laying the digital foundation for our country’s growth ambitions.”
The network is pledging to bring 99.95 per cent of the population 5G Standalone – the fastest version of 5G speed around – by 2034.
And by this time next year, bosses are planning to launch trials of space-based satellite mobile network coverage too to eliminate even more “not spots”.
Chancellor Rachel Reeves said: “I’m delighted that this huge investment is being made in mobile phone network infrastructure, better connecting people with families, loved ones and work by providing stronger, more widespread 5G coverage.”
Three’s brand will disappear from its mobile broadband over the next 12 months and brought together with Vodafone’s Full Fibre, all under the Vodafone name.
The firm has announced a new partnership with Community Fibre on top of existing deals with CityFibre and Openreach.
Two extra customer care centres are opening in Belfast and Sheffield as well, bringing 400 jobs back to the UK.
Vodafone and Three both operate their own stores across the country but the company says it has “no planned retail redundancies”.
The £16.5billion tie-up makes VodafoneThree the UK’s biggest mobile network.
WILL PRICES RISE?
Analysis by Jamie Harris, Assistant Technology and Science Editor at The Sun
All these changes sound pretty exciting – but most customers will be wondering if it will cost them more.
VodafoneThree says its mobile network boost comes at “no extra cost”.
And bosses have insisted as much to get the deal over the line for months.
Vodafone’s CEO Margherita Della Valle told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme in December that the merger would cause “no extra costs from public funding and no extra cost for our customers”.
The company has had to agree to a number of legally binding commitments to win the approval of the competition regulator CMA.
One of those was a cap on “selected mobile tariffs and data plans” for three years.
As things stand Vodafone, Three and sub-brands VOXI, SMARTY and Talkmobile, will continue to sell their own mobile products, so it shouldn’t result in less choice or competition.
