ROYAL Caribbean is launching an entire new island in 2027 and it will be home to seven neighborhoods – including a huge Waterpark.
Perfect Day Mexico is expected to launch in autumn 2027 as the cruise company’s newest private island and at the heart of the island will be Loco Waterpark.

The waterpark will have over 30 waterslides, a wave pool and waterslide tower measuring more than 170ft tall called Jaguar‘s Peak.
There will also be hydrolaunch slides that shoot riders into the air and the world’s first sombrero slide, modeled after Mexico’s iconic sombrero.
The park will feature adventure pools and slides for younger kids too.
At Splash Cove, another central neighborhood on the island, there will be the longest lazy river in the world.
Along the hour-long float there are multiple entry and exit points and there will be a number of float up bars.
Each tube will even have a cupholder for beverages.
And for those who feel a little more daring, there is the option of venturing through a crazy section of the river that has twists and turns with waves, rapids and spins.
In the centre of all of this is a 100,000sqft pool – which is one of 10 across the island.
Smaller children will be able to enjoy Royal Caribbean’s largest Splashaway Bay with the first-ever Splashaway Cabanas nearby.
The cruise line has partnered with Legacy Entertainment – a US-based design firm responsible for theme parks and attractions – to create the waterpark.
The destination spans over 200 acres on Mexico‘s Caribbean Coast and in total will have seven neighbourhoods, with 12 dining options and 24 bars.
Other neighbourhoods include El Hideaway – an adults-only neighbourhood.
The neighbourhood will be the party zone with a party pool, swim-up bar and in-pool DJ.
There will also be a new Ultimate Party Cabana for 20 guests, with its own pool and bar.
In the Costa Beach Club neighbourhood, guests can make the most of the white sand beaches, heated infinity pool and Costa Beach Club restaurant.
Then at Fiesta Plaza, guests can make the most of live music and dance inspired by Mexico with live music and dance.
Plus, the world’s largest sombrero will be found on top of the Tipsy Sombrero bar which will serve classic Mexican drinks such as margaritas and cervezas.

Free-to-use loungers, umbrellas and towels will be at all of the beaches and pools at Perfect Day Mexico.
Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean said: “We have spent the last 50 years shattering perceptions around cruising to transform into a global vacation brand for all generations.
“Now, we’re bringing our demonstrated history of unparalleled service and revolutionary innovation – everything our vacationers know and love – into our collection of destinations that offer more locally inspired perfect days and beachfront getaways.”
He added: “Perfect Day Mexico is bigger and bolder than anything we have done to date.
“This destination will be the ultimate vacation for families, and we cannot wait to welcome adventurers from around the world to Mexico for an experience only Royal Caribbean can provide.”
Royal Caribbean is also due to launch the Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in December 2025.
The first-of-its-kind Royal Beach Club in The Bahamas will combine the stunning beaches of Nassau’s Paradise Island with Royal Caribbean’s signature experiences.
Visitors can purchase an all-inclusive day pass and enjoy unlimited dining, drinks and amenities, from The Floating Flamingo – the world’s largest swim-up bar.
Also opening, in 2026, is the Royal Beach Club Cozumel – which features stunning beaches, pools with swim-up bars, cabanas, snorkeling, kayaking and more.
Tuchel’s side will now hope for an improved showing as they take a break from their World Cup qualifying campaign to face Senegal in a friendly.
Pape Thiaw’s side, ranked 19th in the FIFA world rankings, should provide a sterner test for England but perhaps also an opportunity to showcase their true attacking potential under Tuchel.
Traditionally playing their home games at the national stadium, England’s match this evening will instead be staged at the City Ground, home of Premier League side Nottingham Forest.
Here’s why.
Why are England playing Senegal at the City Ground?

Wembley will not be hosting tonight’s England friendly as the stadium gears up for a slew of summer concerts in the coming weeks and months.
Dua Lipa, Coldplay and Oasis will all perform there for multiple nights this summer, while the heavyweight boxing bout between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois will also take place at Wembley before England’s next match in the national stadium.
‘While I know Wembley is our home, I also understand the importance of taking the team around the country when we are able to and the opportunity to experience playing at a famous old English stadium such as the City Ground is one we can all look forward to,’ Tuchel said of the move earlier in the year.
When was the last time England played in Nottingham?
The City Ground has not hosted a competitive England international since 1909, when they beat Wales 2-0 in a Home Championship match.
A wartime clash against Wales was also hosted at the City Ground back in 1941, with England coming out 4-1 victors.
Are England playing away from Wembley again this year?
England will play away from Wembley later in the year as well, taking on Andorra at Villa Park in September.
It will be the first time that Aston Villa’s ground has hosted a Three Lions fixture for 20 years.
How to watch Andorra vs England on TV in the UK
England vs Senegal kicks off today at 7.45pm.
Viewers can watch the action on ITV1, with coverage beginning at 7pm.
In January, Spurs exercised the option to extend Son’s contract for another year which keeps him tied to the club until the summer of 2026.
However, Son has attracted major interest from the Saudi Pro League and it has been reported that Spurs would entertain a lucrative offer for the South Korea captain.
Speaking after South Korea’s 4-0 win against Kuwait on Tuesday which secured their place at the 2026 World Cup, Son cast doubt over his future at Tottenham.
When asked if he will stay at Spurs for another season, Son replied: ‘For now, I think it’s right to wait rather than say anything here since my contract remains.

‘Many people, including reporters and fans, are very curious. Rather than thinking about the future, I think it’s better to wait and see what happens in my current position.
‘No matter where I am, I’m still a player who has always done my best and worked hard, so I think I should do well.’
SON'S MESSAGE TO POSTECOGLOU AFTER SPURS SACKING

‘Gaffer. You’ve changed the trajectory of this club. You believed in yourself, and us, since day one and never wavered for a second. Even when others did.
‘You knew what we were capable of all along. You did it your way. And your way brought this club the best night it’s had in decades. We will have those memories for life.
‘You trusted me with the captaincy. One of the highest honours of my career. It’s been an incredible privilege to learn from your leadership up close, I am a better player and a better person because of you.
‘Ange Postecoglou, you are a Tottenham Hotspur legend forever. Thank you, mate.’
Son, who was hampered by a foot injury towards the end of the campaign, was also asked about Spurs’ season and finally ending the club’s trophy drought.
‘I think I’ve accomplished everything I’ve done while playing the football I wanted to,’ Son said.
‘Football is about winning and only winners are remembered. Despite the difficult season, it was a really happy season for me because I experienced the trophy that I’ve been chasing since I was young.
‘It was a year where I wanted to do better. I was so happy to be able to share that moment with so many people who cheered me on.
‘I haven’t been in good condition many times, but I think I’ll be able to prepare for the new season in really good condition.’
