Paul Merson has revealed his prediction for Manchester United’s clash against Brighton and urged Ruben Amorim to take Mason Mount out of the team.
Mount started United’s impressive victory over Premier League champions Liverpool last week but Merson wants Benjamin Sesko to come back in for the visit of Brighton.
Manchester United will look to win their third successive game on Saturday when Fabian Hurzeler’s Seagulls travel to Old Trafford.
Merson says the Red Devils were ‘very good’ against Liverpool as they clinched their first win at Anfield for almost a decade.
However, the former Arsenal and England winger remains unconvinced about Amorim’s side and expects Brighton, currently one place behind United, to take a point back to the south coast.

‘Manchester United were very good against Liverpool,’ Merson told Sportskeeda. ‘They have now won three out of the last four games, but this is a very tricky game coming up for Ruben Amorim’s men.
‘Brighton won this fixture quite easily at Old Trafford last season. The jury is still out on Manchester United. If they win this game, it would be a great result.

‘Amorim made a bold decision to bench Benjamin Sesko in the game against Liverpool and it paid off quite brilliantly for him.
‘But I doubt he will do that again because unlike Liverpool, Brighton may decide to sit back deep in this game.
‘So I’m not sure how effective Matheus Cunha can be in drawing defenders out of position like he did against Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate.

‘I know Amorim really likes Mason Mount, but I’d be shocked if Sesko doesn’t play because this game really suits the big forward more.
‘I don’t think Manchester United will win this game, I’m going for a 1-1 draw here.’
United spent £74m to sign Sesko from RB Leipzig over the summer after first-choice target Viktor Gyokeres joined Arsenal.
Sesko has endured a subdued start to his Premier League career, scoring two goals in nine appearances.
Alan Shearer, the former England striker and Premier League record goalscorer, believes Manchester United ‘paid too much’ for Sesko.
Brighton have blown hot and cold so far this season but clinched an impressive victory over Champions League side Newcastle United last time out.
The Seagulls beat Manchester United twice last season and won this fixture 3-1 to pile more pressure on Amorim.
