Lord knows it’s been a rough few episodes for Peacemaker (John Cena). But now that he’s found another dimension that seems better than the normal DCU world, it’s possible that this misunderstood hero might have an escape hatch. But, because Peacemaker Season 2 is a total of eight episodes, there are plenty more twists in store. In fact, after the next episode, Episode 5, Peacemaker will be heading into super-shocking territory, the likes of which only the cast, crew, and creator James Gunn know about.

Peacemaker Season 2, Episode 5 Release Date
Peacemaker Season 2, Episode 5 is called “Back to the Suture,” and will start streaming on HBO on Thursday, September 18. Again, this is the fifth of eight episodes overall.

New episodes of Peacemaker become available on Thursdays at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time. So, on Thursday night, if you haven’t watched, start avoiding spoilers at that time.

Peacemaker Season 2, Episode 5 Plot and What’s Next
Following the events of Episode 4, Peacemaker Season 2, Episode 5 will reveal whether or not Peacemaker will be detained by members of A.R.G.U.S., led by Rick Flag Sr. (Frank Grillo). In theory, we’ll also learn if Peacemaker himself decides to leave our dimension, for the seemingly more ideal dimension he discovered in Episode 1. (Is this other dimension really better?)
But the bigger deal here is that after this episode, James Gunn and DC have not given critics and members of the press any advanced knowledge of the episodes. Generally, in order to review shows, we tend to get to see those shows early. But Gunn has specifically withheld Episodes 6, 7, and 8 to prevent any major spoilers from leaking.
What will happen? Will Superman appear? Will the secret of the other dimension turn out to be something horrible? Will Peacemaker survive? Again, only those in the Peacemaker camp know what happens next, and it sounds like, no matter what it is, we should be prepared to be shocked.
