Fantastic Four releases this weekend and the film has been praised as a huge return to form for the four heroes on the big screen after some medium 00s success and an abysmal 2010s reboot. Vanessa Kirby and Pedro Pascal are playing on screen lovers Susan Storm and Reed Richards – aka, the Invisible Woman and Mr Fantastic. But off screen, there close physical bond and connection has had people questioning what’s going on – considering Vanessa Kirby is married and there friendship seems very affectionate. Pedro Pascal now explains why he and Vanessa Kirby have been touching so much and how close they are during all the Fantastic Four press – and the reason is very moving.
They’re not together
Obviously, Vanessa Kirby and Pedro Pascal are not together – she is with Paul Rabil and the two are married and expecting a child. Pedro Pascal is currently not dating anyone publicly.
Pedro Pascal has been open about how close they are, saying of Vanessa “I think that we really, really see each other in ourselves in terms of our care for what we do, our care for one another, and our mutual fears, our mutual expectations. We can be kind of hard on ourselves, and I just think that we’re very, very similar.”

Pedro Pascal has revealed the reason he has been so physically close with Vanessa Kirby during Fantastic Four press is because the pair of them like to remind each other that they’re there for each other because they find the red carpet photo ops overwhelming. He says “We are always grabbing onto one another to remind each other that we’re not alone in any of it.”
Pedro has previously told Men’s Health that he gets bad anxiety, and “When it started to feel so critical, I had to go back to what was always the comfort for me in life, which was engagement in my relationships, my friendships, and conversation and shared experience.”
Vanessa Kirby has also said of their bond and the reaction to how close they are physicallyWhat happened is we were both incredibly nervous going out in front of thousands of people who love this comic. He wanted me to know that we were in this together, and I found it a lovely gesture and was very glad to squeeze his hand back.”
