It truly feels like barely an hour can go by without someone shouting out that Love Island is fixed, staged or scripted – and the latest to hit the villa is the new rumours that the Islanders are getting outsider communication. People thought Yasmin had been told of all the social media conversation that she’s actually AI (props to whoever came up with YasGPT, it’s a good one), and now another Islander has been hit with allegations that the Love Island cast are communicating with outside world.
Toni, my love, I know it’s been the week from hell for you – but you’re in the firing line again here with the Love Island viewers because the people want answers.
Look closely
Eagle eyed Love Island viewers think that Toni is communicating with the outside world because she has gone through four different sets of nails since she’s been in the villa. They’re all massive and distinct sets to be fair, so maybe eagle eyed is a slight stress and I’m just short sighted for not clocking.
In a Facebook fan group for viewers of Love Island, someone pointed out the changing nails and said “Tonight, Toni had ANOTHER new set of nails, her 4th since being in there.” This promoted another to raise the question “I thought they were not to have contact with the outside world!?”
But whilst this is true and the Islanders don’t get to have chats or their phones to keep up with what’s going on in the outside world, they do actually get Saturday off. This is why we don’t see episodes on Saturday nights. On the down days, Islanders ge too go and have beauty treatments such as hair and nails. Apparently though, they are closely monitored.
It might be a clue that Toni is leaving the villa – but let’s face it, if she was getting messages from the outside world to help her literally nobody would be advising to couple up with Harrison.
Islanders have previously been allowed a day at the beach! But whenever they go on an excursion, producers closely monitor them.
