Orlando Pirates have suffered a major injury blow ahead of the second half of the season.
The Buccaneers are gearing up for a major 2026. Abdeslam Ouaddou’s side have already lifted the MTN8 and Carling Knockout trophies.
The Buccaneers are also leading the way in the Betway Premiership. A domestic quadruple remains a serious possibility for them!
They will likely however have to pull it off without one of their key players.
Orlando Pirates star undergoes operation
Orlando Pirates midfielder Sihle Nduli is set for an extended spell on the sidelines.
The midfield general who joined the club at the beginning of the season from Stellenbosch has undergone foot surgery.
Nduli is unlikely to play for his side again this season, according to Kick Off.
Nduli was a key player for Ouaddou during the first half of the season.
Nduli made 17 appearances for Orlando Pirates during the first half of the campaign.
In total, the midfielder already has 164 professional appearances to his name. His absence will undoubtedly leave a void at the club.
Bucs bolstering squad
The Buccaneers have already signed three players in the January transfer window.
Orlando Pirates welcomed Andre De Jong, Daniel Msendami and Mpho Chabatsane to the club.
Now, they’ll possibly be looking to find a quality midfielder who can cover for Nduli.
