After being received by authorities of the Judicial Administration Body (OAJ), Workers of the National Renewal Union at the service of the Judicial Branch of the Federation reopened the PJF headquarters that closed in protest against massive layoffs and lack of work materials. In the morning, the protesters liberated the OAJ headquarters building, south of Mexico City, where they were received to discuss their demands.
Meanwhile, in the so-called prism building on Avenida de los Insurgentes 2065, where the district courts in criminal matters are located, the facilities were released at noon on Friday. In the “Las Flores” building, located Periférico Sur, a non-working day was declared.
In a statement, the Judicial Administration Body reported that the workers committed to immediately reopen the 16 buildings seized, which represents just 5% of the total properties of the Judicial Branch of the Federation.
He indicated that 95% of the buildings continued with their ordinary work.
“Today a group of workers from the Judicial Branch of the Federation decided to close 16 properties in different cities of the country, which represent approximately 5.3% of all buildings.”
The Judicial Administration Body assured that work in jurisdictional bodies and administrative offices continued in 95% of the headquarters in the country.
The OAJ pointed out that the dissidents were received and attended to by different authorities, reaffirming its firm commitment to maintaining judicial work without interruptions in permanent dialogue with its working base, for the benefit of the people of Mexico.
Workers from the San Lázaro courts indicated that they are awaiting negotiations between the leaders of the National Renewal Union at the Service of the Judicial Branch of the Federation, regarding unjustified dismissals, the lack of retroactive payment for the increase in the minimum wage and the lack of supplies necessary to work.
