Drake has gone viral once again, this time because of a shirtless selfie that has people arguing he forgot to work out literally every other body part besides his abs.
Drake has a complicated relationship with the internet because, despite being one of the most successful musical artists out there, his digital footprint is outright cringy. In the last few years alone, he’s been dragged for faking drone footage, slammed for his petty takedowns of Kendrick Lamar, and dragged through the mincer after his nudes leaked. Well, now there’s another moment to add to the ever-growing list.
On Instagram earlier this week, Drake posted a shirtless mirror selfie as he was flanked by expensive alcohol bottles next to his home bar in Los Angeles.
“I’m wide awake for the nights that separate the type who get to it til they get it right from the type who just …type,” he wrote in the caption, the meaning of which is completely lost on me – and most of the internet.

Though Drake has always been a heartthrob with a pretty substantial following, people immediately clocked how his abs were the only defined muscle on his body.
“Ordered abs from temu n forgot to add shoulders n tri lol,” one person wrote in the comments.
Another said: “A grown man standing in front of a bunch of liquor bottles (like a college Freshman) with BBL abs from Abs R US, with no biceps. Shoulders or back to match is HILARIOUS. Oh, and the caption? Are you 15?”
Someone else joked: “He reading the comments like ‘sh*t, I was supposed to get chest and arms too?’”
But here’s where things get even funnier, as amidst his annual grilling, a plastic surgery pro spotted specific details about the post.
People think Drake’s shirtless selfie was a post-surgery brag
If you scroll through the admittedly mean comments on Drake’s shirtless selfie post, you’ll spot dozens of people claiming he went under the knife for the well-defined abs he’s now brandishing. Those theories were given even more weight when the SurgeonMade Official Instagram page posted about it.
Alongside Drake’s shirtless snap, they claimed: “SurgeonMadeSpotlight on Drake who did it again! Literally. He has decided to show us all his SurgeonMade abs on his last post, and we all know he is no stranger to the surgery table …. Drake has become all too familiar with surgery and the process and the tea has always been hot when it comes to him …. Allegedly, I believe that this last round was with Dr Jung although I have heard that he’s dabbled a bit in Colombia in the past.

“One thing is for sure, Drake can’t ever wait to recover fully and post once he’s completely healed. This man be too hype to show them abs/body and gives it away every single time.”
Specifically, people noticed a “bulge” besides the abs, which allegedly points to cosmetic surgery. SurgeonMade Official speculated that it could have been the result of “high definition Lipo with ab etching.”
