
The heartbroken family of a young woman have thanked people for staying with her as she lay dying in a car crash.
Natasha Thorp, 21, known as ‘Tash’, was fatally struck at about midnight on August 22 in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, and pronounced dead at the scene.
Another woman was found with a leg injury and two men were subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Natasha’s family paid an emotional tribute to their late daughter and thanked those who remained with her at the scene on Brassington Avenue.
‘Going forward without her is so hard to imagine,’ they said in a joint statement.

‘To know Natasha was to know a life filled with love, laughter, and joy.
‘It was a privilege to know her as a part of our family or as a friend.’
West Midlands Police confirmed the investigation is ongoing and urged anyone with information about a silver Toyota Corolla to come forward.
In a statement on Facebook today, Birmingham Police said that a man remains on bail with strict conditions. The other man has been released with no further action.
Natasha’s family also took the time to thank the emergency services who unsuccessfully battled to save their daughter’s life.
‘We would like to thank the emergency services who tried in vain to save her that night.’
Tributes have poured in on Facebook to a ‘young beautiful lady’ and ‘the most amazing person’.
These words were echoed by her family who expressed gratitude that Natasha was not alone when she died.
‘We would also like to thank the wonderful people of Sutton Coldfield for their kind support, particularly those that stayed with, or came to help Natasha on that terrible night.
‘It’s very important to our family to know that she wasn’t alone at the end, they said.
‘You were one in a million Tasha and you will never be forgotten.
‘Night Tash, love you,’ the family added.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said Natasha’s family is being supported by specially trained officers.
