A secret Glastonbury performer is soaring to number 1 just days after an emotional return at the festival.
During a weekend which sparked controversy elsewhere on Worthy Farm, Lewis Capaldi made a triumphant return which left fans stunned for all the right reasons.
The 28-year-old singer made his comeback on Friday as he was unveiled as a secret performer on the Pyramid Stage two years after stepping away from public life to focus on his mental health.
Lewis performed at Worthy Farm in 2023 but was unable to finish a song as he struggled with his Tourette’s Syndrome.
On Friday, he dropped new single Survive out of nowhere, and took to the iconic Pyramid Stage at 4.55pm
Last night, the Official Chars Company revealed Lewis’ song is on track to become his sixth Number 1 single.

It’s said to be leading by over 3,000 chart units just 48 hours since its release.
Meanwhile, Someone You Loved – his first number one – could rise back into the charts at number 44, two years after the crowd took over after he was unable to finish singing the track.
Back in 2023, Lewis apologised for his Glastonbury performance and admitted he felt ‘annoyed’ with himself, later making the ‘most difficult decision’ to retreat from public life and ‘adjust’ to the impact Tourette’s was having.
