Profit Rises 18.4% to 32.8 Million Euros

CTT’s net profit rose 18.4% in the first nine months of the year, compared to the same period in 2024, to 32.8 million euros, Correios de Portugal announced this Thursday (20).

Between January and September, the operating income reached 911.2 million euros, 15% more than a year before, driven by the “strong performance of Expresso and Encomendas, including the consolidation of Cacesa from April 30, 2025, as well as the continued growth of Banco CTT and the increase in the placement of public debt in financial servicess”.

Earnings before taxes, interest, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose 21.9% to 134.8 million euros.

In the first nine months, Logistics reached 775.8 million euros, a year-on-year increase of 14.3%representing 85% of CTT’s total income, while Express and Parcels (E&E) reached 434.2 million euros (+31.4%)“being the area that contributes most to CTT’s revenue (48%), thanks to the growth of ‘e-commerce’ in the Iberian Peninsula and the consolidation of Cacesa”, say CTT.

O Banking and Financial Services reached 135.4 million euros at the end of September, 19.1% more year-on-yeardriven by the increase in public debt placement, which has recovered relatively” to the first nine months of 2024, “and by the sustained growth of Banco CTT”.

Banco CTT’s turnover increases 8.3%

Banco CTT’s turnover grew 8.3% in the first nine months of the year, compared to the same period in 2024, to 7,590.4 million euros, Correios de Portugal also announced.

In a statement, CTT states that this performance is explained, essentially, “by the customer deposits (consolidated Banco CTT), which stood at 4,201.7 million euros”, plus 3.9% than in the first nine months of 2024, at least credit to customers (2,085.2 million euros, +15.4%)supported by car credit (+6.7% to 1,000.1 million euros) and by housing credit (+18.1% to 945.4 million euros) and by off-balance savings, which totaled 1,243.5 million euros (+18.9%).

Banco CTT’s operating income reached 104.0 million euros up to September, up 8.0% year-on-year.
