Mexico City. – With the proof of hard data, the president Claudia Sheinbaum, presented the closing report of the Wellness Programs 2025where he highlighted that the 18 supports reflect that it is possible to return public resources to the population when efficient work is applied. The same good jobs and tax collection will allow the various supports to be increased to 1 trillion pesos in 2026.
The president showed a look of joy and security, in the face of a year that reached the programmed goals. Ariadna Montiel, Secretary of Welfare, reported that all 2025 programs were delivered in their entirety. This department includes the Women’s Pension, Support for people with disabilities, Working Mothers and Sowing Life, which total 18 million 494 thousand beneficiaries.
Since the attention to youth and childhood, the president included the La Escuela es Nuestra program, which director Pamela López reported reached 8.1 million students with a budget of 25 billion pesos for the improvement of 68,011 schools. The official highlighted that, by order of the president, the program was expanded to serve high school level schools in 6,239 schools.
The national scholarship coordinator, Julio León, highlighted that as part of the Michoacán Plan, the Gertrudis Bocanegra Scholarship was implemented, a transportation support that provides 41 percent of attention to the entity’s students. Carlos Torres, general coordinator of Programs for Wellbeing, added the Food Self-Sufficiency, Housing Improvement and Youth Building the Future projects, with which he assured all the planned people were reached.
The president Sheinbaum He showed special interest in the growth graph of resources allocated to social programs “32 million families benefited directly with a social investment this year of 850 billion pesos” he declared and given the scope, he added “and in 2026 it will be one billion in direct support.”
The president also announced that the Gertrudis Bocanegra Scholarship will begin in Michoacán, but “we are going to try little by little over the six-year period to open that scholarship.”
Given the solid support of hard data, the president recalled the opposition’s criticism and reaffirmed that serving the population is the best support she has from citizens. Sheinbaum He compared that the high level of investment is achieved with austerity and tax collection, “do you know how much Argentina asked the United States for a loan? That amount, 20 billion dollars. And we collected it this year, without more taxes, simply by doing the job well; 250 billion from customs alone.”
