Proteas Women’s star Chloe Tryon has officially swapped boundaries for a bride-to-be status after proposing to her longtime partner, Michelle Nativel.
The South African all-rounder ended her year on a romantic high, announcing the engagement on Instagram with a photo capturing the special moment.
The engagement took place at The Cellars-Hohenort in Upper Constantia.
She captioned it simply and sweetly: “A lifetime of us.”

The post was instantly flooded with congratulations from fans, team-mates, and fellow international cricketers.
Tryon, known for her explosive batting and match-turning performances, has enjoyed a standout year both on and off the field.
In May 2025, she was named ICC Women’s Player of the Month, after a string of powerful displays in Sri Lanka and the Tri-series against India and Sri Lanka.
Reflecting on the accolade at the time, she said: “I’ve been trying to find consistency for a while. I’m happy that it could finally come together… Hopefully I can build on those and help the team towards a big year.”
Her performances have cemented her as one of world cricket’s most dynamic all-rounders, and her visibility within the sport has only continued to rise heading into a major tournament year.
