Proud ‘fascist’ now begging for money after getting fired from job over viral debate video

After going viral in a Jubilee debate video, a man identified as Conor was sacked from his job in what he described as “cancel culture and political discrimination on full display.”

Jubilee Media is a digital media company that “pushes boundaries, tackles taboos, and breaks the rules” in its YouTube videos. With 10.2 million subscribers and averaging at six million views per video, Jubilee has long attempted to tackle huge cultural and political issues.

In the most recent episode of its Surrounded series, which pits one single person against a room of contrasting personalities, journalist Mehdi Hasan took on 20 far-right Conservatives. Though each far-right speaker seemed more diabolical than the last, things reached new heights of unhinged when Conor sat down.

Conor, who also goes by the pseudonym Pinesap, backed autocracy – a system of government by one person with absolute power – and said he doesn’t care if people call him a Nazi, all while smiling. When Mehdi pressed Conor on what parts of Hitler’s Germany he didn’t agree with, the only thing he pointed to was how the Nazis “persecuted the church a little bit.“ He then went on to describe the holocaust as “a little bit of persecution and stuff like that.”

“We may have to rename this show, because you’re a little bit more than a far-right Republican,” Mehdi pointed out, to which Conor said, “Hey, what can I say?” before proudly admitting that “Yeah, I am” a fascist.

Mehdi Hassan went head-to-head with far-right Conservative and self-proclaimed “fascist”, as part of a wider debate with 20 far-right conservatives on Jubilee’s ‘Surrounded’. Connor added he “doesn’t care about being called a Nazi” and proudly stated he is a fan of the Nazi-theoretician Carl Schmitt.

Despite only being posted yesterday, the debate has racked up over four million views. Conor’s clips in particular have been posted across practically every social platform, with people confessing that it’s rare to see someone so out and proud about seemingly sharing beliefs with literal Nazis.

Conor was sacked after the viral Jubilee video

During the debate, Mehdi pointed out that Conor and his ilk are confessing to extremist ideology for literally the entire world to see. What do you know, Conor was sacked by his employer.

Naturally, he started begging for money on GiveSendGo, a Christian crowdfunding site which has faced criticism for hosting extremist causes, writing: “My name is Connor and I was recently shown in the latest Jubilee episode, as a result, unfortunately I was subsequently released from my job.

“I’m raising money as an emergency fund and for other expenses while I look for a new job. Unfortunately, voicing fully legal traditional right-wing political views results in real consequences. This is cancel culture and political discrimination on full display. I just went on The Rift TV where I shared my story of what happened.”

At the time of writing, he’s raised just under $25k on the platform, which of course sparks questions about whether Jubilee is actually helping. The company has long weathered criticisms about giving objectively foul people a platform, and while Conor did lose his job, he’s now $25k richer, appearing on numerous podcasts, and gaining thousands more followers.

“We need a white nation! It’s our only future! Vive le Fascisme,” one donor wrote while contributing $88, a deliberate number that references neo-Nazis and white supremacists.
