
Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique will undergo shoulder surgery after he was involved in a cycling accident.
The 55-year-old, who led the French champions to their first Champions League title in May, was rushed to hospital after coming off his bike on Friday.
The former Barcelona and Spain boss suffered a fractured collarbone but with no other reported injuries.
Further details on what caused the crash have not been disclosed.
PSG shared a statement on their social media channels, confirming their head coach was being treated in hospital.

‘Following a cycling accident on Friday, Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique was treated by the emergency services and will undergo surgery for a fractured collarbone,’ the statement read.
‘The club expresses its full support and wishes him a swift recovery. Further updates will be shared in due course.’

PSG have won three games from three in the opening weeks of the new Ligue 1 campaign.
They return to action against RC Lens on Sunday 14 September with it unclear at this stage if Enrique will be back on the touchline.

The French champions could be without star man Ousmane Dembele when they return to action after the forward limped off during France’s World Cup qualifier against Ukraine on Friday night.

PSG also lose Desire Doue who was taken off at half-time with a calf issue and replaced by Dembele who was himself forced off in the second-half.
The forward, who scored 35 goals in all competitions last season, went into the international break nursing a hamstring problem with the situation said to have left PSG furious.
