A manhunt has been launched for a 22-year-old after the death of a man in Worthing.

Police are searching for Taylor Mitten in connection with their murder investigation. They released a blurry smart doorbell image of Mitten in a Nike t-shirt leaving a house.

A 25-year-old man was found with serious injuries by officers at a house in Lindum Road, Tarring, on Wednesday afternoon.

Paramedics tried to save the victim’s life but he was declared dead at the scene.

Lindum Rd Worthing, armed police at scene, Air Ambulance also attended 3/9/25 We are investigating the death of a man at a property in Lindum Road, Worthing, this afternoon (3 September). Emergency services were called to the address at around 4pm to reports of a man having suffered serious injuries. The man was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed. Detective Chief Inspector Chris Friday said: ???Residents can expect to see an increased police presence in the area while we investigate what we believe to be an isolated incident. ???This is currently being treated as a murder investigation, and no arrests have been made at this time."

Members of the public have been told to avoid Mitten.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Cullimore, leading the investigation, said: ‘Firstly, I’d like to express my sincere condolences to the family of the victim. They continue to be supported by specialist officers as our enquiries continue.

‘While the exact circumstances remain under investigation, I’d like to reassure the community that we are treating this as an isolated incident and the suspect is believed to have been known to the victim.

‘I would urge anyone who sees Taylor Mitten not to approach him, but to please dial 999 immediately, quoting Operation Duxford. We are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident at this time.

Officers were alerted to the incident at a house in Lindum Road, Tarring, about 4.05pm on Wednesday 3 September. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the victim ? a 25-year-old man ? was tragically declared deceased at the scene.
