Rain and Storms Continue Tomorrow

Your Late Sunday Evening Update:

Today we had a stormy start to the day going into the afternoon hours. Several severe thunderstorm warnings were issued over the viewing area earlier this morning. We had a high of 88 degrees today and will continue to warm up throughout the week.

Rain and storms aren’t going away anytime soon as there is a 70% chance for rain tomorrow and we are in a slight (level 2 out of 5) risk for severe weather. Timing of the storms is extremely variable but models are showing bands of storms coming in at 12pm, 9pm, and into the early morning hours of 3am. However, we should clear out by 8 am across the CSRA just in time for your work commute. Tomorrow you can expect a high of 88 degrees.

Rain chances will fall Tuesday and Wednesday with 60% chance for rain on Tuesday and only a 30% chance on Wednesday. Wednesday will warm up to 90 degrees and we will stay in the 90s until Sunday. With a high on Father’s Day Sunday of 93 degrees. Rain chances continue all throughout the week and as of now there is still a 50% chance of rain in the forecast for Father’s Day.

Tracking the Tropics: We still have no tropical systems expected to form in the next 7 days.
