It’s reasonable to say that Labubus have become a worldwide sensation, so much so that some of the most expensive ones are selling for hundreds of thousands.
Like Tamagotchis, fidget spinners, and Jellycats before them, Labubus have become *that* controversial toy that has people debating its existence. Either you get the hype, or you don’t; it’s not that deep.
That being said, and ignoring the claims that Labubus are linked to the demon Pazuzu, don’t be saving up to buy one of these at auction.

In collaboration with Vans, Pop Mart released a Labubu doll that was kitted out in a street style fit, complete with a skateboard and a matching snapback. Due to its high demand, reselling prices for a single doll go for $3,568.

You’ve heard of the Three Wise Monkeys; now meet their Labubu counterpart.
The collection was first released in 2017, but during the Yongle International Auction, it went for a staggering $25,890. That price point was then dwarfed at the Beijing auction, where another set was sold for $70,900.

Celebrity collaborations are always elite and way overpriced, and Labubu is no different. When Pop Mart released 14 dolls in collaboration with Seventeen, all of them recieved a collective bid of $337,600. One doll was priced at $31,250 alone, while another was pegged at $22,500.
