What was meant to be a glittering spectacle for Travis Scott’s latest music video turned briefly into a scene of panic yesterday.
A knife-wielding man disrupted filming on a North London estate, reportedly causing panic on set.
The U.S. rapper, 34, had flown in to shoot a collaboration with South African breakout star Tyla at the Broadwater Farm estate.
The Tottenham Estate gained notoriety in 1985 after the Farm Riot there, which became one of the most violent in 20th-century Britain and culminated in the tragic death of PC Keith Blakelock, who was killed by a mob.
The production, staffed with heavy security and elaborate camera rigs, was designed to showcase Scott’s trademark mix of high-octane energy and moody urban imagery.
But tensions flared in the afternoon when a man allegedly threatened a crew member with a blade.

Police rushed to Willan Road around 4pm and swiftly arrested the suspect, leaving shaken onlookers stunned.
The Metropolitan Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
‘It was madness,’ said one witness. ‘There were cameras, lights, security everywhere — then suddenly the police turned up and it was all kicking off. No one could believe it.’
An onlooker told The Sun: ‘Travis and Tyla’s music video was being filmed on a quiet street but with all the crew and security, it attracted a lot of attention.
‘Tyla was filming some scenes about 40 yards away when this man kept walking onto the set.
‘A member of the crew approached him and asked him to leave and that is when he started being threatening and pulled out what looked like a knife.

‘It was terrifying for everyone. Travis was already shut away and Tyla was taken off set. It all went into lockdown and the police were called.’
In a statement a spokesperson for the police told The Sun: ‘A man flagged down officers in Willan Road, N17, on Wednesday, 27 August to report that a man had threatened to stab him.
‘Officers searched the area and stopped a man, aged 29, matching the suspect’s description.
‘The man resisted the search and so he was placed in handcuffs. Officers recovered class B drugs and cash. No knife was found.
‘He was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B drug and section 4A of the public order act.’

The disturbance reportedly forced producers to delay Scott’s entrance on set.
Insiders said the rapper remained off-site while the situation was brought under control, eventually stepping in to film at 5pm – nearly ten hours after the day’s call time.
Despite the disruption, filming resumed once police had given the all-clear.
Scott, known for his relentless stage presence, powered through with a performance that insiders described as ‘classic Travis’ – high-energy, commanding, and determined to salvage the day’s chaos into something cinematic.
Neither Scott’s team nor Tyla’s representatives have yet commented on the incident.
