Real-life Hollyoaks couple Owen Warner and Jemma Donovan have reportedly split after two years together.

The pair met on the set of the Channel 4 show in 2023, when Jemma, joined the cast after a stint in Australian serial drama Neighbours.

In an ironic soapy twist, Owen’s character Romeo Nightingale murdered Jemma’s alter-ego Rayne Royce when he pushed her into a swimming pool in self defence.

He later went on the run, leaving on horse back, much to viewers’ hilarity.

The two went public with her relationship in April, 2023 with a cheeky Instagram post that saw Owen pretending to propose.

Sharing countless holiday snaps – including some with her superstar dad Jason – they seemed a picture of happiness. But according to The Sun, they have now gone their separate ways.

A source told the publication: ‘It’s over and they’re no longer friends. It was very sudden – everyone was so upset for them.’

Metro has reached out to Owen and Jemma’s representatives for comment.

Last month, Jemma revealed that she was taking part in a new project thats worlds away from the soap world.

Jemma was part of Gary Barlow’s Songbook Tour, which concluded on 21st June.

He revealed the connection on his Instagram, saying in a video that introduced his backing singers: ‘Bringing the age group down.’

He then strolled over towards Jemma and fellow backing singer Sophie.

‘He made sure her microphone was turned right up so we could all hear her, and she was fabulous.’

Another took to X to share: ‘The finale @GaryBarlow! A huge shout out to Jason Donovan’s daughter Jemma who was fabulous as a backing singer.’
