According to FARPost, Maart’s move to Amakhosi included a sell-on clause favouring Sekhukhune. The sale of Maart to Ried was R2.6 million, of which 20% is due to Babina Noko.

“Just two months after the move was completed, the transfer fee has emerged. Amakhosi, who paid in the region of R6 million from Babina Noko in June 2022, reportedly received a fee of €130 000. Converted to the South African rand, the fee is about R2.6 million,” Mthokozisi Dube reported.

“When Chiefs bought the midfielder from Sekhukhune, there was an agreement that they would give them a 20% share should they sell him in future. That means Chiefs are obligated to pay a fee of €26 000 [R530,000] to his former club.
