Revealed: What the Phillies Karen actually said in ‘vulgar rant’ as she nabbed ball off child

Since the weekend, all everyone has been talking about is the so-called “Phillies Karen” who nabbed a ball off a child during a baseball game. The clip of the woman has gone viral, and showed her snatching the ball from a father in the crowd, who caught it and gave it to his son. Now, the father has revealed exactly what the “Phillies Karen” said to him in that moment.

Drew Feltwell found himself in the middle of the argument on Saturday, when a Philadelphia Phillies home run ball came into the crowd. Phillies outfielder Harrison Bader hit the home run against the Miami Marlins, at LoanDepot Park.

As the ball approached, Drew grabbed it to give to his child. Then, the “Phillies Karen” marched over, and appeared to have said a few choice words before Drew gave in, and handed her the ball instead. Speaking to Fox Sports, Drew Feltwell shared his account of the incident, and exactly what was said to him.

He said she demanded “that’s my ball” and said it was her “right” to have it. She claimed the ball originally landed in the section of the stands where her seat was, so the ball belonged to her.

“I can’t even repeat that on air. She was very vulgar,” he said. “Screaming right in my ear that, you know, lots of bad words and, ‘That’s my ball.’ That was her section and trying to tell me she had the right to that ball. The screaming and yelling kinda got to us and I just wanted her to go away. So, that’s how she got the ball.”

He then went on to explain why he gave into her, and added: “It was tough giving the ball back but it ended that situation. I hope that ball meant a lot to her.” He then said the woman was booed out of the stadium.

In a further interview, with NBC10, Drew gave some more context. He said: “I didn’t even see her walk up, and as she reached for my arm, she just yelled in my ear, ‘That’s my ball!’ like super loud. I jumped out of my skin, and I was like, ‘Why are you here?’ you know, ‘Go away.’ And she’s like, ‘That’s my ball! You stole out of – those are from our seats’.”
