AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Per the City of Augusta, all intake activities for the Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) Program and the Utilities Assistance Program are suspended until further notice….EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
Officials say they do not anticipate the ERA intake process reopening. They say they will share information about any future housing or rental assistance opportunities as they become available.
On Saturday, August 9th, hundreds showed up at the Robert Howard Community Center to apply. Many waited in line for hours.
