One of Robert Redford’s grandsons is paying tribute to the late actor with rare, never-before-seen pictures.
Conor James Redford Schlosser is the son of one of Redford’s daughters. Shauna Redford and her husband, Eric Schlosser, share two children: Anna Michaela “Mica” Redford Schlosser, born in January 1991, and Conor, born on July 29, 1992.
Conor paid tribute to his late grandfather with a carousel of photos and a touching caption.
“He was larger than life to the world, but to his family, he was simply that…family. Rest in peace, Grandpa.🐎 If anyone has a favorite story of him you’d like to share, please send it to me in a private message—I’d love to collect them.”
Redford, the star of All the President’s Men and countless other classics, died on Tuesday at Sundance in the mountains of Utah. He was 89. Tribute to the late star immediately poured in after news of his death quickly spread.
Among those who honored Redford are Downton Abbey star Elizabeth McGovern, who shared that Redford helped launch her career when she was only 18.
Redford directed her in the 1980 drama Ordinary People. The film also marked his feature film directorial debut.

She nearly quit her small role in what turned out to be her film debut because she had just gotten accepted into the prestigious Juilliard School, and she debated whether to quit school or quit the movie.
Redford insisted she continue going to school, while he worked and filmed around her schedule.
“But he said, ‘Listen. You go to school, and we’ll just schedule around you,’” McGovern recalled Redford telling her. “And he actually blew me up whenever I had a weekend off and we shot those scenes. I mean, that’s just a caring thing to do for an 18-year-old kid.”
