With the Los Angeles police investigation into the death of a teenage girl found in his Tesla trunk picking up steam, the “Romantic Homicide” singer D4vd is losing record label promotion.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office has identified the remains found in the Tesla as a 15-year-old missing girl named Celeste Rivas. Her cause of death is not yet clear, although police are investigating it as a possible homicide.
Now, according to TMZ, his music label Interscope is halting all “musical promotion” for D4vd, including for his “upcoming deluxe album.”
- The decision was made by Universal Music Group, which owns Interscope, and Sony Music Publishing, TMZ reported.
- That comes after his Seattle show was cancelled following Rivas’s identification.
- Crocs and Hollister removed him from their advertising campaigns amid the investigation.

However, TMZ reported that police searched a home where D4vd was living in Los Angeles for evidence, including blood. Police are examining photos for possible links between Rivas and D4vd, according to The Los Angeles Times.
“Several items of evidence were recovered and will be analyzed by detectives in the coming days,” an LAPD spokesperson told People.“Investigators are following up on several leads.”
According to an Instagram post from D4vd promoting his new album, it was supposed to be released on September 19.
“Every song written exclusively by me on my phone baby, this is a passion project i put together to make sure i didn’t lose the raw emotional weight my music carries and how much it means to u all. Thank you to all the friends who collaborated with me on this everyone ATE THEIR VERSES UP ❤️❤️❤️,” the post says.
His Withered” tour “includes themes of death and remembrance. Fans entering Burke’s show are greeted by a casket,” the Times reported.
