Romeo Beckham rang in his 23rd birthday with a family bash – but Brooklyn’s absence has added fuel to ongoing feud rumours.
Romeo marked his 23rd birthday in style with a family dinner at one of London’s most exclusive new restaurants – but once again, Brooklyn was noticeably absent from snaps shared to Instagram.
The footballer’s milestone was toasted by his proud parents, David, 50, and Victoria, 51, who joined him at swanky Japanese spot Aki in central London on Friday night.
The high-end eatery doesn’t even officially open until later this month, but it seems the Beckhams managed to get in early.
Also celebrating was Romeo’s younger brother Cruz, 20, with girlfriend Jackie Apostel, 30, on his arm – turning heads in a little black dress that could have been straight from Posh’s wardrobe.
Romeo was also joined by youngest sister Harper, 14, who was dressed to impress in a long black gown.
The whole clan leaned into an all-black dress code, with Romeo rocking a leather bandana and matching jacket, Victoria dazzling in a sheer floor-length frock, and David keeping things cool in a suit with a white T-shirt.
Cruz, however, opted for a bright shirt and jeans, bringing a splash of colour to the otherwise monochrome night.
Guests are said to have enjoyed sushi, champagne and cocktails before serenading Romeo with a chorus of Happy Birthday.
Brooklyn has yet to post a ‘happy birthday’ message to Romeo on Instagram, despite both parents sharing heartfelt tributes online.
Sources close to the family have said it’s no longer expected that Brooklyn or wife Nicola Peltz, 30, will attend Beckham get-togethers.
‘It was a lovely, low-key night for Romeo with his friends and family,’ an insider told the Daily Mail.
‘Everyone wanted him to feel special, especially after what’s been a tough year. But of course, it’s always sad when one chair at the table is left empty.’
Brooklyn’s absence comes amid ongoing reports of tension between the Beckham family. The rumours began when Brooklyn skipped David’s 50th birthday celebrations earlier this.
Brooklyn and Nicola then renewed their vows in her family gardens a few weeks ago, but neither of Brooklyn’s parents were in attendance.
But Romeo still partied in true Beckham style, with famous faces wishing him a special day under his Instagram post.
Justin Bieber was among the celebs who commented, writing: ‘Ur swag is outrageousssss’, name dropping his new album title.
Cruz’ beau Jackie was quick to comment, ‘we looove uu,’ sharing the birthday love.
