In an interview with the “Podcast” programRosalía explained that, in the lyrics of the other songs, she sings in several other languages, such as Catalan, Latin, Ukrainian and Arabic. To write them, he dedicated himself to trying to understand each language.
“It involves a lot of intuition and also thinking: ok, I’ll write this and try to understand how it sounds in another language. I’ll go to Google Translate to see how that word is said, and then confirm with a real translator. If you rhyme those words, does it make sense? If I don’t, I’ll write again. I did this for a year.”
Rosalía also says that she built the songs “like puzzles or labyrinths”, without using Artificial Intelligencemotivated by the desire to better “understand and love” others.
Taking into account that Carminho is one of the guests of “Lux”, in stores on November 7th, Portuguese should be one of the languages included in the successor to “Motomami”, from 2022.
