Seven London Underground lines are experiencing severe delays, adding further misery to commuters travelling in 33°C heat.

The Circle line is majorly disrupted between Edgware Road and Hammersmith because of a customer incident, with minor delays riddling the rest of the line.

The incident has also caused severe delays between the same West London stations on the Hammersmith and City line.

A signal failure at Stratford has led to severe delays across the Jubilee line, too, according to Transport for London (TfL).

The travel authority says another signal failure at Arnos Grove has caused severe disruption across the Piccadilly line.

Elsewhere, the entire District line is delayed after a fire alarm was pulled at Barking on top of a Network Rail signal failure in the Parsons Green area.

The entire Northern line is seeing delays following a points failure at Golders Green.

A broken-down train in West Ham means that the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) is significantly delayed between Stratford International and Canning Town.

However, True Tube Status says that TfL is inaccurately reporting ‘severe delays’ on the Piccadilly line, with journey times only about 18% longer than normal.

The monitoring website also says that the delays on the Jubilee line are minor at best, with journeys about 28% longer.

But it is reporting waiting times at stations being 192% longer.
