Russell Wilson didn’t hold back on X, firing back at former Coach Sean Payton after Payton took a public jab at him.
Wilson is the quarterback for the New York Giants who formerly played for the Seattle Seahawks. Wilson used to play under Payton, who seemed to take a swipe at Wilson while complimenting rookie Jaxson Dart.

In the video, Payton said, “They found a little spark with that quarterback,”referring to Dart. Wilson had played the first three games, and the Giants went 0-3 with him at the helm.
“I was talking to [Giants owner] John Mara not too long ago and I said we were hoping that that change would have happened long after our game,” he added.Sports Illustrated described this as Payton seeming to throw “shade” at Wilson, a perspective shared by other publications. Wilson’s X post appears to be responding to these Payton comments.
Payton previously benched Wilson when he played for the Broncos.
