His message came as Microsoft reported record financial performance with revenue reaching $281.7 billion, up 15 percent, and Azure cloud revenue surpassing $75 billion for the first time with 34 percent growth. Satya Nadella outlined the Microsoft’s next phase of growth, focusing on three core priorities — security, quality, and AI innovation. He shared that Microsoft has assigned resources equal to 34,000 full-time engineers to its Secure Future Initiative, aimed at strengthening identity protections and embedding security-by-design practices across all products. As part of its global AI infrastructure expansion, Microsoft has opened data centers across six continents, now operating more than 400 facilities in 70 regions. The company also announced Fairwater, described as the world’s most powerful AI data center, located in Wisconsin. It is expected to deliver ten times the performance of the fastest existing supercomputer.
In its AI product portfolio, Microsoft 365 Copilot has crossed 100 million monthly active users across both commercial and consumer segments. GitHub Copilot, its AI coding assistant, has reached 20 million users. Microsoft also introduced Agent Mode, enabling users to complete multistep tasks using simple prompts.
Microsoft commits $4 billion to AI education
Extending its commitment beyond technology, Satya Nadella announced Microsoft Elevate, a five-year initiative investing $4 billion in cash and AI cloud technology to support schools and nonprofit organizations. The program aims to help 20 million people earn AI credentials within the next two years.

“People want technology they can trust,” Nadella wrote, emphasizing Microsoft’s approach to responsible AI innovation guided by values of respect, integrity, and accountability. He also urged employees to focus on long-term impact, asking, “What are you working on today that, 15 years from now, you will look back on and say, ‘we got it right’?”
He added that Microsoft provided more than 1.5 million people with clean water and sanitation and plans to replenish more than 100 million cubic metres of water around the world. Underlying Microsoft’s technical and financial achievements is a culture that Satya says is critical to long-term success.
He explains: “Our growth mindset is essential to our ability to continue leading this AI era. It enabled us to innovate both within Microsoft and those we serve. “We must be learn-it-alls, willing to experiment, guided by evaluations and committed to continuous improvement.” This cultural approach complements the technological strategy, ensuring that innovation is sustainable, scalable and purpose driven.
