Angel Reese traded in her WNBA uniform something very different.
Walking in her first Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Wednesday, the WNBA star strutted the stage and turned heads, quickly becoming a trending topic online.
The 6′ 3″ forward for the Chicago Sky debuted in a matching bra and pantie set adorned with flowers. Instead of a basketball, Reese’s accessory on the runway was a massive floral boa.
Making History
Reese made history on Wednesday as the first professional athlete to walk the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Olympic Gold Medalist Suni Lee also walked this year during the PINK portion of the show.
“It feels amazing,” Reese said of the honor in an interview ahead of the show. “With my name also being Angel, I think it’s literally perfect. It was destined for me. I think this is already for me.”
“I’m just really happy to be sitting in this room with so many amazing models,” she continued. “So many amazing women. The team that put this all together has just been amazing, so I’m so excited.”
Other big names to walk the runway included Gigi and Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski, and several veteran Victoria’s Secret angels, including Candace Swanepoel, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Jasmine Tookes, Doutzen Kroes, Lily Aldridge and Joan Smalls.
Is It That Different From the WNBA?
Reese said preparing for the show wasn’t dissimilar to her training for a game. “It’s the same,” she said. “You trust your work,” adding that she’d hired a modeling coach to nail her runway walk.
Albeit more modest, Reese’s second look of the evening included a coveted set of angel wings. After the show, Reese poked fun of the experience on X. “That walk so NASTY. I though a h** said sum.”

Reese of course is known for being vocal on the court, earning eight technical fouls, and a consequential one-game suspension, during the 2024-2025 WNBA season.
