Selena Gomez, Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham’s so-called celebrity ‘throuple’ has reportedly ended.
The trio have grown close over recent years, with Only Murders in the Building star Selena, 33, once joking about how she was in a ‘throuple’ with Nicola, 30, and her husband, 26.
Selena’s friendship with the Peltz-Beckhams dates back to 2015, when she was first pictured with Brooklyn at New York Fashion Week.
In 2022, Selena met Nicola at the Academy Museum Gala, and they quickly became inseparable – even getting matching ‘angel’ tattoos to show off their bond.
A year later, as the gang celebrated New Year’s Eve while on holiday in Mexico, Selena joked: ‘Fine, call us a throuple,’ sharing a series of snaps of them together on Instagram.
But as rumours continue of a rift between Brooklyn and his family, the pair are now said to have grown estranged from their celebrity pals, with an insider dramatically declaring that the ‘throuple’ no longer exists.
A source told The Sun that Selena has grown apart from Brooklyn and Nicola after becoming tired of their ‘diva’-like behaviour.
The insider said: ‘Last year, she noticed Nicola’s behaviour toward her and [fiancé Benny Blanco] turned into a constant quest for attention.
‘There were many tense moments, for example, during dinners and lunches, where Nicola would try to sit where photographers could get the best angle, and she wasn’t very nice to Selena if people weren’t paying enough attention to her.
‘I mean, just look at Nicola and Brooklyn’s circle of friends; it’s shrinking every week. Some people have turned their backs on them because they’ve realised how Nicola behaves, and Brooklyn isn’t doing much to change the dynamic.’
Selena was notably absent from Nicola and Brooklyn’s ‘secret’ vow renewal, which occurred earlier this month, and does not appear to have congratulated them online.
Her ‘snub’ comes amid reports that Brooklyn is no longer in ‘contact’ with former pals from the UK.
A source told The Sun that Brooklyn is now not on speaking terms with fellow nepo babies such as Gordon Ramsay’s children, Jack and Holly Ramsay, or Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s son, Rocco Ritchie.
‘Rocco, Selena, the Ramsay kids – none of them have even liked the wedding pics after Nicola posted, let alone commented to congratulate them,’ they said.
‘Things have gone very cold with his old friends – it’s like the marriage to Nicola meant he started a whole new life with new people around him.’
Rumours of a rift between the Peltz-Beckhams and their former friends come as speculation grows that Brooklyn has become increasingly distant from parents David and Victoria Beckham.
There have been whispers of a fallout since Brooklyn and Nicola married three years ago, and speculation reached fever pitch over the past few months when they failed to attend David’s 50th birthday celebrations.
David, Victoria and Brooklyn’s brothers – Cruz and Romeo – also seemed to be absent from the vow renewal, and none have broken social media silence to publicly offer their congratulations.
Of the low-key vow renewal, Brooklyn gushed to People: ‘We just wanted a really beautiful experience – a really cute memory.
‘To be honest, I could renew my vows every single day with her. I think the most important thing that someone can do is find that person that they’re going to spend the rest of their life with.
‘It definitely shapes you as a person. It was really, really cute. It was really fun.’
