The 2025-2026 school calendar of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) is about to end its second full month, and millions of students continue with their regular activities after returning to school on September 1. These meetings, as they call them, are commonly held on the last Friday of each month, so students do not attend classes, although teachers must go to schools.
Will there be a long weekend for the Day of the Dead?
The suspension on October 31 coincides with Halloween, with the weekend, and with the dates of November 1 and 2, when the Day of the Dead is commemorated in Mexico.
