President Claudia Sheinbaum conducted a supervision tour of the works on the Mexico-Pachuca train, which, she stated, will have the capacity to transport 107 thousand passengers per day.
Mexico City, October 24 (However).- The President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo stated today that the stretch Buenavista-AIFA of the Mexico-Pachuca train will be ready at the end of 2025 and, at the same time, indicated that a 9.3 percent advance of the intermediate section that will go from AIFA towards the Hidalgo capital.
In a supervision tour that he carried out in the land surrounding the AIFA, in it State of Mexico (Edomex)the President pointed out that the train that goes from Buenavista, in the Mexico Citytowards this air terminal, will be completed next December to begin electromechanical tests for its subsequent entry into operation.
“The Mexico City-Felipe Ángeles International Airport train is already finishing its construction, its civil and electromechanical works, this year and the testing period is now underway so that it can be running. But, at the same time, we are already building the part of the “Felipe Ángeles” International Airport to Pachuca,” detailed the federal president.

The President was accompanied by the Governor of Edomex, Delfina Gómez; of General Gustavo Vallejo representing the military engineers of the Secretariat of National Defense (Defense); from the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (Sedatu), Edna Vega; and Andrés Lajous, head of the Rail Transport Regulatory Agency (ARTF).
Gustavo Vallejo, in charge of the “Felipe Ángeles” group of military engineers, indicated that the works in the areas surrounding the airport are being accelerated to guarantee the completion of the section before the inauguration of the Buenavista-AIFA train.
The Head of the Federal Executive stressed the capacity of military engineers. “We already know his experience, his good work, his planning capacity, his engineering, and that he is a source of pride for our country,” he said, recognizing the participation of the armed forces in this project.

In turn, Andrés Lajous said that fifteen trains were acquired with a capacity of 700 passengers and a length of one hundred meters. The official explained that a route from Mexico to Pachuca is planned with an estimated time of one hour and 15 minutes from Buenavista to Pachuca; one hour from Buenavista to Jagüey de Téllez; and 50 minutes to Tizayuca. It was also indicated that the train will have the capacity to transport 107 thousand passengers daily.
For her part, Governor Delfina Gómez highlighted in her official X account that this train will promote mobility and bring families together as well as an important generation of jobs that will reactivate the economy of the area.

Finally, Sheinbaum Pardo emphasized that even though Sedena and the SICT participate in responding to the emergency in five entities in the country affected by the rains, they have not stopped their work on the large railway projects that his Government has planned for the coming years.
