It was only a matter of time before Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) and Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) bumped into each other on Coronation Street, but it came as a big shock to the newcomer.
Jodie is a woman of mystery, having first appeared on our screens during Corriedale, tied up in the back of Emmerdale villain Graham Foster’s (Andrew Scarborough) van.
It is abundantly clear that she has a dark past she wants to stay buried, but exactly what that is remains to be seen.
However, the one person who is closest to knowing the truth is Kit Green, having been the one to find her tied up in the woods after she escaped the van.
In tonight’s episode, they bumped into each other in the café, and both had very different reactions.
Kit, who had been trying to get an update on how the woman he’d rescued was doing, was relieved to see her, while Jodie was completely horrified.
Viewers will know that she hasn’t exactly been honest since she reunited with sister Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) at the hospital.
She told Shona that she had been running away from an abusive boyfriend when she was caught up in the pile-up, though we know that wasn’t the case.
It’s clear that whatever the truth is, she doesn’t want Shona to find out, and she begged Kit not to tell her.
When Shona wandered in a moment later, she was quick to pick up on the tension between them – but instantly jumped to the wrong conclusion.
At home, Shona began to question Jodie on whether she and Kit had met before, pointing out that they seemed ‘thick as thieves’.
Jodie denied it, and got offended when Shona suggested that Jodie had been flirting with Kit.

Jodie snapped that she wasn’t going to throw herself at Shona’s sister-in-law’s boyfriend, and Shona wasted no time in apologising.
However, there were certainly some sparks between Jodie and Kit, and it’s not like he hasn’t cheated in the past – with Shona herself! Could Shona have predicted the future?
