Sierra Madre Gold and Silver has launched an ambitious exploration program in the eastern part of the Guitarra project in the Mexican state of Estado de Mexico. This region, which includes the historic mining town of Temascaltepec, is now being intensively studied using modern methods and techniques. The Company expects to discover significant resources by resuming work in this previously underexplored area.
The recently completed financing of CAD 19.5 million provides a solid foundation for the planned exploration steps. With a budget of US$3.5 million, the exploration program will be carried out in two phases. Access to the Rampa Carolina has already been restored and samples have been collected for future metallurgical testing. These measures are part of efforts to efficiently use the existing geological structures over a length of 39 km.
