BEECH ISLAND, S.C. (WJBF) — Silver Bluff Missionary Baptist Church is celebrating 275 years of faith and history.
The anniversary celebration is Sunday, August 3 at 2 p.m. 360 Old Jackson Highway in Beech Island.
Reverend Hayward Dock, Jr. will speak. Pastor Melvin Morgan says prayer and God’s word keep the church going strong.
Founded in 1750, the Beech Island church is one of the oldest black congregations in the U.S.
