Simon Cowell has confirmed that he has had cosmetic procedures as he opens up about having Botox.

The music mogul, 66, has had a changing look in recent years, looking as though he may have had the help of some procedures to maintain his look.

The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent star has been open about having Botox in the past, and has now admitted to also having laser treatments in an interview discussing his upcoming documentary series Simon Cowell: The Next Act, which follows him as he hunts for the next big boy band.

‘I have heard certain things about how I’ve had a facelift. I haven’t,’ he insisted in an interview with the Daily Mail.

‘I’ve had Botox. I’ve had lasers and this and that. I look at myself sometimes and go, “Oh God, I look s**t.” Sometimes I think I look OK. I’m more about, “Is it real?” I guess that authenticity was my main thing,’ he said.

‘That’s the thrill of doing this, it’s so vulnerable,’ he said of his documentary.

Simon also denied having ever taken Mounjaro, revealing that his thinner appearance was from taking care of his body following his 2020 accident.

‘Breaking my back, weirdly, was a good thing, because I hadn’t realised how unfit I was. Everything was spiralling badly down before that. So the exercise I had to do to recover and the diet change got me to where I am,’ he said.

He also revealed what he eats: ‘A smoothie. A green one, a fruit one, porridge with a lot of berries, tea. That gets me through till now [mid-afternoon].

‘Then I eat early. Dinner at five thirty. I like smoked haddock, fish cakes, chicken and mushroom pie, but gluten-free. I’m not really a foodie,’ he added.

He then added that he’s not on the weight-loss drug Mounjaro, but he does admire it: ‘Whoever made that hit the jackpot.’

The actor has previously said that to him, Botox is much like toothpaste, necessary for day-to-day maintenance.

He told Glamour: ‘To me, Botox is no more unusual than toothpaste. It works, you do it once a year – who cares?’

Simon also previously told The Sun: ‘There’s lots of things you can do now. You don’t just have to stuff your face with filler and Botox.

‘It hurts like hell but it gets rid of sun damage and unplugs all the crap. For me now, it’s all about having clean skin. If you have clean skin, you look better.’

Previously, Simon has also revealed that he stays young by ‘washing his own blood’.

‘I go to this wellness clinic where they actually take your blood, they rinse it, they filter it, they put it back into your body,’ he explained in a recent interview with the Rolling Stone Music Now podcast.

‘I’ve actually aged backwards by eating better, more exercise, less stress.’
