Forrest Frank Started Making Music in High School When He Saw Someone ‘Making Beats’
Frank is a Christian artist who started his musical career in high school, when “he saw someone making beats on a Maschine Micro…a compact music production tool.” According to Greg Lancaster.org, he “balanced music with a career at Abbott Laboratories, releasing albums while working his day job.”
“Music was always a part of me, and it felt natural to keep pursuing it,” Frank told Lancaster, who wrote that his musical journey took seven years. His songs took off in college. “People started asking me for my songs,” he recalled. “They’d hear something I was working on in my room and say, ‘Yo, can you send me that?’ That’s when I realized I was starting to get better,” he told Lancaster.
According to Christianity Today, Frank “is making the Internet’s vibiest Christian music,” and his “upbeat hits and worship collaborations are capturing younger listeners on social media.” His hits include songs like Good Day and Up! Frank was “the top-ranked new artist on last year’s Billboard Christian charts.” the site reported, adding that he is known for his band Surfaces.

“If your content’s not doing well, the song’s not good enough,” Frank said on YTH Nation. He is based in Waco, TX, and is a graduate of Baylor University, Christianity Today reported, adding that his first solo album was called Warm, and it debuted in 2018.
His 2023 album New Hymns “features a laid-back rendition of ‘Amazing Grace’ and a guest appearance by rapper Lecrae on ‘Nothing but the Blood,'” according to Christianity Today.
On TikTok, some fans lamented – or even said they were in tears – because Frank’s tour wasn’t stopping in their state (such as Florida).
“I love that Arlington will get the last show!!!!! This is going to be so special!!” another fan wrote. “Me and my kids love you!!! We will definitely be saving up to try and make it to your Denver show😊,” wrote another fan.
